Button Moon Trust

Button Moon Trust, located in , is a charity dedicated to preserving the legacy of Playboard Puppets, the leading touring puppet theatre in the country. Founded in 1971 by puppeteers John Thirtle and Ian Allen, Playboard Puppets produced the popular live show Button Moon from 1982 to 1994. The show featured the Spoon family embarking on adventures on Button Moon with other puppet characters, all created from everyday items like plastic bottles, wooden spoons, and plastic bananas. Button Moon Trust works to continue the tradition of puppetry and bring the magic of Playboard Puppets to new audiences.
