2. Purposes and Legal Bases

a) Conducting the voting:

We process your vote to determine results and prevent misuse (e.g., technical logs).

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR (contract-like measure) or Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and fair vote).

b) Email communication (optional):

If you enter your email address and check the box, we send you (i) updates about the voting (e.g., results) and (ii) information about impactBee and similar projects.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR (consent), § 7 UWG.
We use a Double‑Opt‑In process: you only receive emails after confirming your email address.

c) Sharing with [PartnerName] (optional):

If you also check the respective box, we will share your email address with [PartnerName], the company hosting this voting campaign. [PartnerName] may then send you its own information or offers.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR (consent). A separate Double‑Opt‑In confirmation applies.

d) Security and reach measurement:

For stability, error analysis, and abuse prevention (e.g., server logs, limited IP storage, rate limiting).

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

3. Voluntariness

Providing your email address is voluntary and not required for participation in the vote.

4. Recipients & Processors

We use service providers (hosting, email delivery, analytics in privacy mode) who process data on our behalf under Art. 28 GDPR. If you have consented, we transmit your email to [PartnerName], who acts as an independent controller under GDPR.

5. Storage Period

• Voting data: log data deleted after approx. 30–90 days.
• Results: stored only in aggregated/anonymized form.
• Email data: kept until consent withdrawal; proof of consent retained for up to 3 years.

6. Withdrawal

You can withdraw your consent at any time, e.g., via the unsubscribe link in every email or by email to info@impactbee.org.

7. Data Subject Rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and to object. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).

8. Cookies

Only technically necessary cookies are used; analytics/tracking only with separate consent.
